Job Opportunities

Odd Arts is a Manchester charity established in 2004 delivering innovative and creative programmes across all art forms, with vulnerable and excluded groups.

Odd Arts work in four main settings: in the community, education, health and criminal justice service.

Odd Arts specialises in delivering theatre-based programmes that challenge and change attitudes and behaviours. Odd Arts works with participants to devise theatre, from their own experiences as well as touring performances on challenging topics.

All our theatre and creative projects aim to increase wellbeing, communication skills, confidence, self worth, opportunities and creativity.

Odd Arts delivers theatre in three main ways:

  • Professional theatre tours and workshops on complex themes (knife crime, consent, child criminal exploitation, radicalisation, mental health) to over 20,000 people per year.
  • Long term therapeutic theatre projects in schools, communities and secure settings aiming to reduce risk and increase resilience in the people we work with.
  • Social action projects where members of the community make their own theatre performance , art work or film in response to a subject that matters to them.

Odd Arts offer a wide range of volunteering and working opportunities for young people and adults. All of our volunteers receive support and supervision. Due to the nature of our work, opportunities working with vulnerable clients and young people are limited however we do offer a range of opportunities in arts administration, project development and fundraising.
