Assistant Drama Worker

Overview

Odd Arts, Manchester-based leaders in issue and evidence based arts work within criminal justice and community settings, are currently seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Drama Worker to play a pivotal role in shaping our volunteer & work experience programmes, ensuring they are enriching & rewarding for all participants.

Skills
  • To support and deliver drama and creative workshops with varied groups (including within youth settings, schools, colleges, prisons, secure units & health settings)
  • To conduct supervised planning, evaluation and administration tasks relevant to Odd Arts
  • To act in Odd Arts performances alongside professional -actors and participants
  • Working creatively within a team alongside volunteers, actors, freelancers, management and various artists
  • Participate in safeguarding of all participants and undergo training
  • Use any other creative talent within workshop design and delivery (including music, dance, drama, visual arts etc)
  • To represent Odd Arts at any relevant meetings, presentations and conferences
  • Support Odd Arts social media and brand through active participation in it
  • To work to ensure Odd Arts working practice is of the highest possible quality
  • Acceptance of flexible working hours and willingness to work away on projects
  • Any other appropriate activity
