Odd Arts Annual Report 2021-2022

“It’s once again hard to know where to start with summing up the last year for Odd Arts. Like everyone, we had to continue to be flexible & resilient to overcome the ongoing hurdles & unpredictability that the world kept throwing at us. The creative solutions we responded with have enabled us to deliver some of our most innovative & forward thinking practices & projects to date.

Odd Arts have continued to work within schools, hospitals, criminal justice settings & communities – reaching more people than ever before. We were also thrilled to achieve a three year National Lottery funded project to address systemic inequalities within Central Manchester.

Our amazing team have continued to travel the NW & beyond, facilitating through theatre & arts some of life’s most challenging subjects (racism, extremism, exploitation, violence, mental health) whilst producing new, relevant & authentic community led theatre.

Additionally, Odd Arts have worked tirelessly to improve employee wellbeing & engagement. We were thrilled to be accredited as one of Greater Manchester’s Good Employment Charter Members, which is a real testimony to the improved workplace practises we have undertaken. We also welcomed our new Chair Emma Sheldon MBE. There’s still so much we want to change & do – but that’s the point – creating a space of challenge & change for our beneficiaries and our organisation.

Thank you for your continued interest in and support for Odd Arts. Please enjoy reflecting on the mind-blowing impact our creative team has achieved in the last 12 months.”
